los angeles show announcedoctober 21, 2004MOTH WRANGLERS TO PLAY LOS ANGELES WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2004 moth wranglers (ld beghtol of flare/magnetic fields/the new criticism & chris xefos, drop quarters/ex-king missile) will play a special west coast release show for their new cd NEVER BETTER (magnetic)... NEVER BETTER hits the street on december 7th. the performance is on wednesday, december 8th, on the main stage at the knitting factory in los angeles, ca, opening for the enorchestra (more about which below). tickets are on sale now at the knit's site. please help us publicize this rare event by writing about it, talking it up to your adorable friends and press people in LA and the area, and/or just coming out and having fun at the show your own bad self. feel free to forward this to whomever should hear about it. as you know, we seldom play live, so we want this one to be special. mw will be opening for our dear friend (and sometime mw and new criticism player) doug hilsinger, who will be performing his acclaimed cover of brian eno's Taking Tiger Mountain (by Strategy) in its entirity. read more about this great record and view the press kit. doug is a superpower to be reckoned with, and the divine caroleen beatty — his vocalist in waycross and for the eno show — is utterly amazing. expect to be totally crushed out with the pair of them. |
