new songs available for download

may 18, 2005

all of us here at mwhq would like to thank all those who listened to mw's most recent internet radio appearances, as well as everyone who attended the mw show last month in san francisco. it was a whirlwind few weeks for mw (comparatively speaking), and we want to make certain that all of you know how much we appreciate your support.

for those that didn't get a chance to listen the first time around, we have posted, to the downloads section of the mw website, the recording of mw's appearance on Pirate Cat Radio. as you may recall, mw appeared on the april 14th broadcast of the Hardly Working program, hosted by our friend Laisez Faire. all two hours of the program are now posted on the mw site. you may listen to the entire program, or just listen to certain sections. feel free to listen a little now...come back later...its "on demand" mw, at its best.

also available in the downloads section is a special mw recording that will only be made available for download at this location. during last month's flurry of activity, the boys were able to find time to put down to "tape" their version of (that many times covered song) "Love Will Tear Us Apart", originally recorded by the group Joy Division. on this, the 25th anniversary of the death of lead singer Ian Curtis, mw is very pleased to pay tribute to such an important musical (and some may even say cultural) influence. we hope to jar the memory of a few folks out there as to where they were 5/18/80.

coming up, the boys will focus work over this summer to finish the next full length mw release, due out sometime in 2006 (for sure). there may be more live appearances within that time, so stay tuned.
